Pacific Northwest Fibershed envisions the emergence of a bioregional textile community that will support soil-to-soil processes in fiber, textile, and garment production. Our natural textile resource base is defined by the geographical landscape of a 300-mile radius from Portland, Oregon. After thoroughly researching the successes and mistakes of the Pacific Northwest’s historic fiber industry, we have identified our community’s need for natural fibers and its proven ability to grow a quality crop. Together we will inspire our regenerative textile systems to participate in the revitalization of the Pacific Northwest textile industry.
