Please check to make sure you are able to attend on BOTH 9/26 and 10/17 from 10:00am-4:00pm \nDuring this 2 day workshop learn the ancient art of tannin-bath hide tanning. Hide tanning\, the process that turns animal skin into durable leather\, has been done for thousands of years all across the globe. She has worked with a variety of ranches\, using both egg/smoke and tannin-bath methods\, to produce beautiful hides. She is passionate about sharing the process of transformation from a raw pelt into a sustainable material for our lives. \nTamar shares this course honoring her Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry\, and a thread of connection to fiber creation. She chooses to share this ancestral skill\, held by many cultures and people\, as a way to connect each participant to their roots\, and this skill. \nGood to Know\nThis is a 2 day workshop spread out over a month.
