In this class\, you will learn the basics of tapestry weaving so you can make woven wall hangings. \nThis is a wonderful opportunity to learn from Bay Area artist Shaine Drake! She will bring in plenty of samples of her own work and a list of her favorite resources. \nFor true beginners and fiber enthusiasts! No weaving experience required. \nYou’ll learn: \n– to warp your loom \n– plain weave \n– to use multiple colors \n– to make shapes \n– to create texture \n– weaving terminology \n– finishing and hanging \n  \nMaterials provided: \n– weavers yarn pack \n– 7 yards of cotton warp \n  \nMaterials required: \n– frame loom* \n– tapestry needle \n– scissors \n  \n* Shaine recommends a small frame loom for class as it is quicker to warp. Verb carries Hokett Would Work looms which are perfect for a beginning weaver! We also stock larger looms\, such as Schacht School Looms and Schacht Tapestry Looms.
