This 2.5-week program prepares trainees for a career in the sewn trades and is currently offered in English with some Spanish translation. The swap will feature clothing from Fibershed’s archive and a range of wool\, cotton\, flax and hemp garments that are ready for a good trade. \nRepair: We will also open the mending bar and host a skilled guest teacher who can support anyone seeking to learn how to repair their garments— bring your hole-ridden sweater that you want to repair! \nSkill Building: A children’s felting activity will provide a wonderful opportunity to work with our locally grown wool\, and make your own felt goods. \nPop-up: Forager’s Den will debut a suite of freshly screenprinted up-cycled garments for sale.
