Get ready to embellish and personalize garments, or create original works of art! This workshop will help you begin drawing and painting on fabric with thread. We will cover several basic stitches such as outline stitches, chain stitches and their variations, french knots and filling stitches. You will also learn to properly place fabric in an embroidery hoop, how to tie the correct knot, and how to separate strands of embroidery floss.

Each student will receive a kit to get them ready to embroider.

The kit includes:

+ linen fabric

+wooden hoop

+ naturally dyed embroidery floss

+ embroidery needles

+ fabric pencil

Please bring:

+ small, sharp scissors (we’ll have some to share, too)
