About the Event
Register for this special natural dye class with fiber artist and naturalist Janet Heppler in Redding, CA. Learn about ethical foraging for both mushrooms and lichens, cleaning wool and silk in preparation for dyeing, mordanting the fiber, preparing the dye mushrooms and lichen for the dye bath, preparing your samples, dyeing wool yarn + silk samples + dyeing 2 silk scarfs. There will be handouts, cards to put your samples on, and 2 dyed scarfs.
