Macramé – The Art of Tying Knots

December 7, 2019 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Event Navigation

Learn how to make a beautiful macramé plant hanger in four hours! This course will teach the principles of the ancient art of tying knots, some history of macramé, material prep, and 5 basic knots, which you will practice enough times to retain “muscle memory” for future creations. Macramé is also for farmers and gardeners, who can use the skills learned to make drying racks, shade netting, trellises, and other endless possibilities.

With Renata’s hands-on instruction and guidance, you will create your own custom macramé piece to take home and will have the foundations and skills necessary to experiment in a wide variety of projects. No tools necessary, all materials are provided. No previous craft or textile experience required. Ages 10 & up.

Because materials must be prepped in advance, Pre-registration is required.
