Regnerative Economies: What are they, and can fashion play a role in building them?

May 12, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Event Navigation

A few years ago, environment conversations started to introduce regeneration as a concept. This meant moving the focus from sustainability, which has traditionally focused on minimising negative impacts, to actively repairing the damage that has been done to the planet and restoring critical ecosystems.

At Trace Collective that is the focus of our work and where our heart sits: on exploring how, through fashion, we can create a market economy that drives demand for nature-based solutions to climate change. In this session we’ll talk to some of the leading experts on nature-based solutions to climate change and get to know incredibly inspiring projects from across the world. We’ll then work together to figure out how we can plug into these economies through our day to day purchases and decisions.

Expect a workshop packed with info, important conversations that involve you, and hands-on breakout groups, and expect leaving inspired and full of hope.

The workshop features Rebecca Burgess, ED of Fibershed and Elizabeth Whitlow.
