Rust Belt Fibershed Virtual Meet-Up on May 21 at 7 PM!

Join us for our first virtual Mending Show and Tell !
Have you worked to repair a textile/garment and would like to share the story of that cloth? Maybe it’s an old moth-eaten sweater, or an old pair of jeans, or your grandma’s quilt? Or maybe it’s even a hole in a tote bag? Any repair counts!

We’d love to hear about your experience (maybe it was your first mend? Maybe your 1000th!), your technique, your process, or even just the story behind the garment would be a treasure for us to hear! How/Why did you choose to repair that particular textile?
Projects do not have to be complete- this could be a work in progress! Your repair doesn’t have to look any particular way or even use any particular technique if you’re a newbie! Bring whatever you’d like to share.
Also, you don’t need a flashy story- just showing us what you’re working on is great, too!

Not a mender? Still join us! We’ll be talking Fibershed updates and initiatives, and we’ll be brainstorming about engagement for summer months.

This is a chance for us to participate in some much-needed community building, and we hope you’ll join us!
