Instagram is a project started by Castro Valley resident Palesa Nicolini. It evolved over several years in the apparel industry, academia and ultimately: the pandemic, our moment to reflect.

The purpose of the project is to create a use for homeless garments, sample fabrics and trims headed to landfills. Pieces are mindfully designed for purpose; using aesthetics that pull from notable craft and art.

These pieces are all hand crafted by cutting and selecting the right shapes and color of fabrics for each silhouette. Pieces are made up from broken leather goods, used garments, plus trims & fabrics from suppliers I work with. The finished product is as perfect as it can be considering is made of re-usable materials, but I promise, it will make you happy to wear or gift!

All pieces are uniquely original and made in Northern California.
