Artist-geographer Sonya Hammons creates fine art with handmade felt from local wool, salvaged boat rope, and local pigments and dyes. She offers custom hand-felted and handwoven fabric yardage, garments, home goods, and acoustic insulation panels. Black, white, naturally-occurring rust, and home-grown organic indigo form the color palette of her recent work. After a career as a sustainability advisor for the United Nations, she returned to the Sausalito working waterfront to focus on art.
