Laneus Shawl, Hat or Sweater – Workshop
February 17 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Event Navigation
The ‘Roosimine’ technique is used in Teti Lutsak’s Laneus series of patterns and creates beautiful embroidery inlays on the surface of your knitting. This technique is not applied, but incorporated into the work as you go. Choose one of the Laneus patterns (there is a hat, shawl and pullover in the series) and make your own beautiful botanical knit. We will learn the origins and how to execute the Roosimine and review the patterns and potential yarn choices in the first session – and then check in in the second session to review and troubleshoot. Some familiarity with colourwork is helpful – but not essential. No homework – we will swatch in the first class!
