At Blue Dot Farm we grow seasonal flowers for the local market in a chemical-free way that is pollinator friendly and soil enhancing. Some of these flowers (dahlias, marigolds, hollyhocks, etc) can be used as natural dyes. We also raise Ouessant sheep on the farm for vegetation management and for wool production. The Ouessant is a rare primitive breed of sheep – the smallest of the breeds – with black, white and occasionally brown fleece. We are just beginning to shear and process our wool.

Blue Dot blossoms in season (April 1 to September 30) are sold at the Farm Stand in Forrest Knolls and San Anselmo, The Flower Press, The Flower Wagon and through local floral designer Verde Flowers. Contact blossoms@bluedotfarm.net if you are interested in buying flowers or dye material directly.
