At Traditional Tanners we use totally natural methods to transform sheep and goat hides into super soft and washable heirlooms that help farmers make additional income reselling their hides through farmer’s markets, websites and social media.

The Mercery

The Mercery is a California based heirloom textile manufacturer that is committed to bringing ethically made, handwoven fabrics to the design industry by connecting artisan weavers to a market that values and sustains their work.

Toluma Farms

We raise dairy goats and fiber sheep on our 160 certified organic acres. We make cheese (tomales farmstead creamery) from the milk. We offer tours and cheesetasting and cheesemaking classes.

Occidental Arts & Ecology Center

Our nursery is a completely California Certified Organic Nursery which specializes in the preservation of highly diverse useful or culturally important plants.

Chico Flax

Developing farming, milling, outreach, education, and crafting of natural grown linen.

Hopland Research & Extension Center

Our mission is through science to find better ways to manage our natural resources and conduct sustainable agricultural practices, for the benefit of California’s citizens.

Full Belly Farm

We strive to be good stewards of this farm, so that this generation and future generations may continue to be nourished by the healthy and vibrant fiber and food that we produce.

Bodega Pastures

Used for conservation of our coastal prairielands, our mixed flock is bred for wool color and texture, hardiness, and meat quality.
